Welcome to the Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd

Our church is a growing and welcoming community of people who seek to fulfill our promises at baptism to seek and serve Christ in all persons, strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.  We gather both on Sundays and at other times during the week for classes and fellowship, in order to reveal the gifts of the Spirit that are within each of us, and to worship God as faithfully and fully as we know how. Please join us!

We sometimes call ourselves a country church in the heart of the city.  We’re on a tree-lined residential street in East Falls, ten minutes from Center City, and close to Germantown.  Our Georgian Revival sanctuary and Parish Hall are bright and sunny, and tucked between the campus of William Penn Charter School and the playing fields of Germantown Friends School.

We are a church of traditional Episcopalians, progressive Christians, and committed seekers.  Our parish is open to all who wish to test the idea that no life is complete without spiritual life.  We cherish diversity and conviction, and respect the exploration of differences.

Our church is handicapped accessible.

Whoever you are, and wherever you are on the journey of faith,
you are welcome at Good Shepherd.
