FOOD OFFERINGS THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH
Please bring your offerings of non-perishable foods such as tuna, peanut butter, and other staples for family meals. Our offerings are donated to St. Vincent's Food Cupboard. Please place your food donations in the container at the entrance.
Volunteer with Northwest Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network (NPIHN)
Members of the parish help to host temporarily homeless families at various churches in Northwest Philadelphia. NPIHN provides these families with shelter, and guides them to find employment and housing. You can help by either preparing food or helping to care for children during and after the dinner hour. For more information, www.philashelter.org You can also pitch in in the kitchen with the Sunday School to bake desserts for NPIHN's annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser in November.

A HEARTY THANK YOU
to Good Shepherd's members, friends, and colleagues-of-members, who gave $350 for Christmas gift cards and donated a total of 94 filled backpacks to be distributed to needy families through Episcopal Community Services. Many other Philadelphia-area churches also took part in these efforts to give children a good start for the school year and a happy holiday. Every gift makes a difference.
