ONE-YEAR BIBLE CHALLENGE CONTINUES....
The Bible Challenge - reading the entire Bible in a year, with weekly discussion meetings - began on Jan. 1, with our first session at the Rectory on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m. We've been meeting weekly after that, usually on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 at the Rectory (There is no meeting on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22. March meetings will be held on Tuesdays March 6, 13, and 27, and Wednesday March 21. In April we resume regular Wednesday meetings.)
Here’s how it works: each day you read a couple of chapters from the Old Testament, a psalm or part of a psalm, and a chapter or two from the New Testament, and a short passage from another book, such as Proverbs
The daily schedule of readings is posted on www.oneyearbibleonline.com. Printed schedules will also be available. Use the Bible you prefer. Translations accepted by the Canons of the Episcopal Church include:
